The establishment Smart City Industrial Laboratory aims to enhance Research and Development (R&D) to produce smart connected devices, smart intelligence systems and technological products that are currently demanding by market together with providing professional training to the UNIMAS staffs and students with vision to develop UNIMAS as smart campus.
This collaboration between KIWITECH SDN BHD and UNIVERSITI MALAYSIA SARAWAK (UNIMAS) would make it possible in the area of exchange ideas and expertise, joined projects, as well as new initiatives and promote stronger synergy between the industry and educational institution for the emergence of new technology products for a better future. This is a significant step to establish Smart City Initiatives in Malaysia to be well-developed with the best model in accordance with the current economic status in Malaysia.
Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) is the project basement or centre to progress the frameworks of Smart City. This alliance strives to enhance researches, consultancy and development in order to make Smart City project planning become reality in accordance with the Sarawak state vision towards digital economics. Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) is an excellent choice to perform Research and Development in technology devices with outstanding ideas and high standard performance of the students. This laboratory is a platform not only to produce new intelligent products, but to generate also high quality of employable innovative students and expertise in Information Technology field.

It is a well aware of the current economic difficulties present within this sector and Kiwitech Sdn Bhd has proved to be more active, creative and proactive to respond with the economic development especially in technology which going to become the major contribution for the national income approaching 2050 through this collaborative venture with Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).

CHULIA TECHNOLOGY SDN BHD
Smart Facilities Management is one of the significant component of Smart City Pillar and layers which predicted can contribute billions of dollars in market value which equal to 1.4% of GDP Malaysia and the number is getting outrages.
Smart Facilities Management shall be addressed to transform labour maintenance cost dependency and increase the efficiency of the management. It is reported that the deployment of IoT Sensors embedded in Smart Facilities Platform, able to save the cost by 20%, and, it is also increase performance at the optimal of 80% efficiencies.
For instance, one of our smart partnership, Al Nabooda Chulia in Dubai has experience on the system implementation with the annual maintenance contract for three (3) flagship sites that able to save up to 15% of the cost
The smart facilities management not only boast systems automation and control, but is also able to generate data, and share it among systems, to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness for the whole facility. This enable us to start giving an insight to Smart Facilities Management to be implemented in the future without a doubt.

Taiace Engineering Sdn Bhd has been incorporated in 16th July 1996 as a sheet-metal fabrication and metal stamping company. Taiace was co-founded by Mr. Isa Ismail and Mr. Hairudin Md Noh as a sheet metal component manufacturer supporting local automotive and electrical equipment manufacturer. Today, Taiace has diversify its operation into several different products comprising of Feeder Pillar, Laboratory Equipment and Furniture, Outdoor Equipment Enclosure, Heat Exchanger, Machining and Tool And Dies Products.
